Jesus is the Good Shepherd who leads His flock with love and sacrifice.
John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”
A. The Primary Duty of a Father is to Lead Spiritually

II. Love with Affection and Consistency: The Lord as the Loving Father
Jesus is the embodiment of perfect love—steadfast, tender, and unchanging.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life”
A. Deeply Loving to Flourish Families
B. Live a Life of Consistent Faithfulness
III. Discipline with Wisdom and Grace: The Lord as the Corrector
Jesus disciplines those He loves with grace, patience, and purpose.
Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
A. Correct with Compassion, Not Anger
B. Foster Growth Through Grace-Filled Correction
IV. Model Godly Character: The Lord as the Perfect Model
Jesus exemplifies humility, integrity, and service.
2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in Him”

V. Prepare for Life and Eternity: The Lord as the Eternal Teacher
Jesus prepares His followers for both earthly life and eternal life through truth and the fear of God.
Matthew 28:19-20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I
am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
