Zech 13:6-9

I. The Inquiry of the Injured (Zech 13:6)
A. The Wounded Shephard: “What are these wounds in thine hands?”
B. The Answer of Affection – “Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.”

II. The Alarm (Zech 13:7)
A. The Awakening of the Sword – “Awake, O sword, against my shepherd.”
B. The Results of the Smiting – “;Smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.”
C. The Attention to the Little Ones – “I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.”

III. The Perishing (Zech 13:8)
A. The Dismal Declaration – “In all the land…two parts therein shall be cut off and die.”
B. The Preservation of the People – “But the third shall be left therein.”

IV. The Purification (Zech 13:9)
A. The Path Through the Fire – “I will bring the third part through the fire.”
B. The Promise of Refinement – “Refine them as silver is refined.”
C. The Restoration of Relationship – “They shall call on my name, and I will hear them.”
